My Breast Cancer Fight!
Hi I’m Tamara and I’m a breast cancer survivor! I was diagnosed with breast cancer in late October 2019.
June 2019, I felt a small lump in my left breast and I scheduled a doctors appointment and got it checked out right away from a PCP provider that my PCP recommended. She did an in office hands on breast examination and told me that because the lump was movable that it was more than likely just an cyst. Being the person that I am, I was thinking oh ok. It could wait! I put it off for a few more mouths and realized it was getting bigger and started to cause pain. After a conversation with my best friend and describing my systems, she insisted I go get a mammogram. After finding out my diagnosis, words could not explain the devastation I felt when I heard that I was positive for breast cancer. The doctors where amazing, positive and provided me with a game plan. I knew I was going to fight this and come out victorious. In 2020 I went into remission. I am still on the journey to be cancer free. In 2025 I will be cancer free! I will celebrate the victory because God is good!
Sisters don’t let sisters fight alone.
We are in this together.
